For all who have been waiting for the new gaming console, there will be a console wars this year between PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720. After Sony announce their latest gaming console, PlayStation 4, Microsoft that were caught off-guard, rumored to unveils their Xbox 720 as early as April, 2 months earlier than expected in their own media event. Before the Sony announcement, Microsoft are expected to unveils their Xbox 720 in E3 in June 2013.
In fact, Ustechs, which is a partner of Microsoft’s and has worked with the company on previous media events such as their press conference at E3 last year, has registered the domain name XboxEvent.com, which could be used to promote Microsoft’s rumored April event, and act as a central hub for the event.
There also have been a rumors about the Microsoft Xbox 720 specs that leaked out last month. If this rumors were to be true, the new Xbox 720 will become an absolute gaming machine. According to VGleaks, who ended up snatching up all the details, the new Xbox 720 will have an 8-core 1.6GHz processor, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, an 800MHz graphics card, a 6x Blu-ray drive, USB 3.0, and gigabit ethernet.
There were also a rumors that the graphics unit used is a custom D3D11.1 class processor clocked at 800MHz, with 12 shader cores providing a total of 768 threads.
