Root your Garmin-Asus A10 (v2.0)

Now, after the previous Garmin-Asus A10 successful root with the Universal Androot, it seems like the new versions had blocked the generic root method. But the great boys over at xda-developers always have something in their inventory as our treasure. Introducing SuperOneClick! With a few simple steps, those of you running the Eclair A10 will have superuser access in no time! Then lets not waste time then.

  1. Get a copy of the latest version of SuperOneClick from xda-developers.
  2. Unzip the stack to your computer.
  3. Now plug in the USB cable to your computer. When prompted, select “Garmin-Asus PC Sync”.
  4. Now go back to the SuperOneClick application and click the “Root” button.
  5. Now this part is a bit tricky, but pretty easy:
  • Go to settings -> Application Management -> Development -> USB Debugging
  • When SuperOneClick says “Waiting For Device, Turn USB Debugging On”, It will run RATC
  • When it says: Starting ADB Server, on your USB Debugging settings, Turn it OFF, then ON again, then OFF again and again until it says “Waiting for Device” again.

Walla! You have root now! :)

Happy Rooting and spread the Android word
