Hi… Just got a samsung galaxy note. android 2.3.6.

I am unable to root my device. according to some sites its because of its android version, it cannot be rooted. My objective is to overclock and do other cool stuff to the NOTE as shown by various users.

please advise in the simplest manner and mind that i am a newbie.

@iztan, i think u nid to switch off the phone and , take the battery and the sim card out for a couple of minutes. After that put everything back and switch it on and whether it works or not.

i’ve already configured my htc wildfire with all the digi settings, yet i can’t seem to send mms and i am only able to use the 3G internet..
already tried asking help from digi, but no luck, i still can’t send mms..
btw, i’ve rooted my phone, will that affect the settings in any way?

Not sure where to contact you on this. Delete or move as you see fit. Just a follow up to my question on the Asus EP121 Slate. I just bought it while in the US (warranty and service is going to be hell on my wallet). So far it has been great. I used it for work running MS Access and Adobe CS4 stuffs (Photoshop/InDesign). And for fun by drawing comics and designing websites’ look and feel. If you like and if it’s not against your site’s rules and regulation, I could write up a short review of it.

salam. sy guna samsung galaxy ace..sy dh masukkan mcm yg awk ajar cume yg APN type tu..xde default pon.. yg ade internet or mms or internet +mms.. so yg mne patot sy pilih ye?

Bagi pengguna CELCOM PREPAID yg menggunakan SAMSUNG GALAY(sbb aku guna galaxy) sahaja.

Cuba try cara ni klu sape2 yang xboleh hantar mms lg.

a) Create semua APN mcm di bawah
Name : Celcom 3G
APN : celcom3g
Proxy : 010.128.001.242
Port : 8080
MCC : 502
MNC : 19
APN type : mms

Name : Celcom MMS
APN : celcom3g
MMSC : http://mms.celcom.net.my
MMS Proxy : 010.128.001.242
MMS Port : 8080
MCC : 502
MNC : 19
APN Type : mms

Name : Celcom 2G Internet
APN : celcom.net.my
MCC : 502
MNC : 19
APN type : mms

Name : Celcom 2G MMS
APN : mms.celcom.net.my
MMSC : http://mms.celcom.net.my
MMS proxy : 10.128.1.242
MMS port : 8080
MCC : 502
MNC : 19
APN type : mms

(pastikan semua APN Type = mms)

Reason – Apabila semua APN Type di setting kepada MMS, maksudnya semua data internet xkan masuk. So, xkan ada potongan kredit.

b) Untick Background Data
Setting -> Accounts and sync -> General sync setting -> Background Data -> Untick.

Reason – benda ini yang menyebabkan kita kehilangan kredit semasa kita on kan Packet Data. So, bila offkan benda ni, xde la automatic sync dalam phone.

c) Tick On Use Packet Data
Setting -> Mobile networks -> Use packet data -> Tick.

Reason – samsung galaxy xkan boleh send mms selagi tidak di’on’kan packet data.

Aku baru berjaya menghantar mms pertama setelah aku amalkan bende ni baru 30 minit yang lepas. Buktinya kredit asal aku ada rm8.99. setelah berjaya menghantar mms, caj dikenakan sebanyak 20sen. jd xde la pemotongan kredit berlebihan apabila on kan packet data. setelah 30 minit kredit aku masih lg rm8.79.

Amaran&Peringatan:-

1-klu korang nak update samsung galaxy korang, biarla kat tempat ada wifi.
2-klu ada keadaan yang mendesak anda menggunakan internet menggunakan prepaid, silalah tukar APN Type bagi Celcom 3G Internet & Celcom 2G Internet kepada default. Nanti kata xboleh nak internet plak.
