Upload Music to Friendster or MySpace

Hi there guys..
Im writing here to help out those who want to have their own music played on Friendster and wish not to use a third-party software for their players..This simple tutorial is going to be a lot of fun and at the end of it, you can start uploading your own songs, make a playlist of it and share it with your friends..Now how cool is that?
So, first of all, of course, you need an account at Boxstr (click it to go to the site). Do insert “mmubashar” in your Referral box when registration as appreciation to this tute :) Now that you have the account, get yourself used to the system there. It’s pretty simple. Upload your favourite songs to the website. Create folders if you must for better management. Once you have done that, follow the following procedure..
Step 1 : Select the songs that you want to add to the play list..
Look at the image below..(click to see the enlarged version)
As you select the songs, the tick icon will become highlighted to show that it’ll be added to the list..
Step 2 : Get the code for your Friendster / MySpace
Now once you have selected the songs, click on “Get Code” as directed in the image above..Then you will be taken to the next page as in the image (Again, click to enlarge):
Click on the “Music (For MySpace, Etc.)” and the code will be automatically generated for you..All you have to do is to copy the whole code in the text box, and paste it in your MySpace or Friendster..Now, once you have pasted it there, visit your Friendster / MySpace page and check out the music playing in the background..Cool aint it? Now that you’ve done it, spread the word to your friends..For any feedback, please leave a comment here..Cheers~

why didn’t it works?
i’ve tried it but nothing happened..no music played..
i’m quit dissappointed.
tim tam, I have tried it and it works for me..Probably there might be some configurations with your account..You can see forum support there, just state your user ID, and tell the admins what are you experiencing..The support is very fast and they will fix it for you in no time..Don’t give up first :) Do update us as well yeah..Anything, just comment here..Cheers~
it aint working to my friendster account. where do i need to paste it? in the media box?
Oh, I just recieved a message from the admins..They’re upgrading the services and the player will be available again once the services are up..Just be patient for the moment as they’re working around the clock..Hold on your account and wait..They resolve issues very fast indeed..Sorry for the inconvenience caused on their behalf.. :)

Dear Amir, as I told you, the website is being upgraded. They’re moving to a more powerful server and they were having some downtimes during the transfer of the files. 10GB per account is a lot you know :D It’s back now and you can use the link again..They’re making the MP3 very versatile and as I see the new project in development, it really is making me anxious too..So hold on to your accounts and upload your files while the player is revamped..The admins will keep you notified there :) Cheers~
I am wondering how to make this all work with the beta version. I hope this is not a dumb question. I have been at it, and can not figure it out.

i select the songs but i cant see any get codes button
Dear Kenet, the site is under construction yet..As an alternative, you may use Snapdrive for the moment..The drawback of Snapdrive is that the space and bandwidth is very low. Use it, while subscribe to the blog, I’ll update once the Boxstr is back with the player. The process for Snapdrive is just the same as I gave above.

you can set it when you’re inserting the songs..There will be an option to “autoplay when load”

I cant post codes here..It will appear as a player..Just follow the tutorial again, but this time, select the “autoplay” check button..Its simple :)
shahZ.. guess i got probs here.. i’m using eMac dude i can’t even open the extension once download the BoxsTr. Desktop App. is that a must? cos i can’t upload the music neither… helppp…

Well, yeah, the Desktop Application is only for Windows based systems. It doesnt work with MAC. However, you can use their web-uploader instead to upload those files and that should do the trick. Instead of using the desktop uploader, use the webuploader..cheers~ :)

well, the webupload should be compatible with mac systems..maybe you can try another browser? so far we havent had problems uploading using mac systems though..try clearing your cache too..that might help..
shahz.. i had uploaded my song and got the code..after that, it showed direct link and linking codes. therefore, how to continue from there..thanks.

hello shahZ.. i still cannot proceed from the linking codes step even i followed the instruction given. when it comes to box consist of (copy),(copy to clipboard) and (ok) options. so what i am going to do? copy the code and..? where to paste it? i also don’t get the site like in step 1 above.
hopefully you can help me because i had tried many times before since last year finding how to insert song into friendster.. i want to upload my korean song.thanks

well, .LRC is actually simple text which is saved as .LRC but it has its own format to be applied. This is just like a HTML file which is actually a txt file, but saved as .htm or .html and has its own formats. As for LRC files, you may want to check this site out on how to make them:

The thing is, it doesnt appear on my friendster media box. So, I search another code and exaggerate ..tadaa! it workd..as long I can upload my own music..thanks for the idea shah..
